Objective(s): |
To consider the proposed revisions of the representative of Armenia, and the next steps, regarding Recommendation No. R (99) 15 on media coverage of election campaigns in the light of the development of digital broadcasting services and other new communication services
To consider the draft guidelineas on the roles and responsibilities of stakeholders in the Information Society prepared and presented by the representatives of the Netherlands, Armenia and Austria.
To consider the findings and analysis of the representative of Bulgaria, and to decide on next steps, regarding the responses to the questionnaire by member states concerning the 2003 Council of Europe Declaration on freedom of communication on the Internet.
Following a presentation by invited guest speaker, Ms Divina Frau-Meigs, to consider and discuss possible future strategies to promote digital inclusion, inter alia by means of media education that could be developed in accordance with its terms of reference and the CDMC Work plan in respect of the Kyiv Action Plan
To discuss possible work priorities of the MC-S-IS beyond its current mandate for the period 2007/2008, and to consider the CDMC Work plan in respect of the Kyiv Action Plan in particular those elements under sub-theme 3 (Human rights and regulation of the media and new communication services in the Information Society).
