| Objective(s): |
To present/make visible Council of Europe work in the field of Human Rights in the Information Society.
To discuss: a report prepared on the implications of the mobile phones and the protection of minors, and a report on internet governance. |
| Output/Results: |
Visibility was given to:
- the work and progress being made by the Council of Europe Group of Specialists on Human Rights in the Information Society (MM-S-IS),
- the results of the Third Council of Europe Summit Action Plan concerning human rights and the protection of children in the information society,
- the forthcoming European Forum on Human Rights in the Information Society: Responsible Behaviour by Key Actors,
- the CM Declaration on Human Rights and the Rule of Law in the Information Society.
The reports presented will be filtered into the preparation of a study on harmful content by the MM-S-IS |
| Conclusions/Follow Up: |
It will be important to follow closely the work of the European Internet Co-regulation Network and to maintain contact/develop relations regarding future common work. |
