| Description: |
The Working Group discussed the organisation of follow-up training courses for the Turkish Police and Gendarmerie. The pilot course which took place from February to June 2002, was organised by the Council of Europe within the framework of a joint initiative with the European Commission as part of a longer-term strategy aimed at integrating human rights into the police training and generally raising professionalism and respect for human rights within the police and gendarmerie. |
