Round Table on ''Harmonisation of the regulations in investigatory isolators and reformatories with European human rights standards'' |
| Description: |
A joint working group (composed of Russian and Council of Europe experts), as well as representatives of institutions associated with the Russian Ministry of Justice, and Russian regional ombudsmen will discuss applicable European Human Rights standards in places of detention on the basis of a written opinion on the Russian Internal Rules and Regulations for SIZOs, prepared by a Council of Europe expert. Particular focus will be given to freedom of correspondence in places of detention. Proposal initiated by the State Legal Department of the RF Presidential Administration with support of the Ministry of Justice |
