Seminar for lawyers |
| Description: |
Three-day training session for lawyers in the North Caucasus(activity 1 of 2) on the European Convention on Human Rights. The training will be attended by the same group of North Caucasus lawyers who will participate in the Moscow Summer School on Human Rights at the end of June 2002. The present training, combined with a follow-up to be conducted in May 2002, will be on substantive provisions of the ECHR, and will thus ensure that the group of lawyers are better prepared to profit from the practical sessions during the 2002 Moscow Summer School on ''how to apply to the European Court of Human Rights''. The target group has not received training on the Council of Europe mechanisms for human rights protection prior to this programme. |
