| Title: | Conference ''For more active citizenship through education: practices and experiences'' |
| Description: | The Conference is organised in the framework of the European Year of Citizenship through Education. It aims to enable nationally selected participants to adopt best practices on concepts and knowledge related to education for democratic citizenship.
The conference will last 1.5 days and will be open by a plenum chaired by CoE, PARSH and Ministry of Education representatives followed by workshops divided according to specific topics such as: - History teaching - Dimension of citizenship education as a process carried out thorugh dilemas and paradokses - Conflict resolution: individual and coletive behaviour management at school - Consumer education - Competencies of civic education teachers: knowledge, skills, citizenship approach - Intercultural learning: application of two practical methods – World Café dhe Open Space - Introduction to D@dalos server as a continuous source of online information Workshops will be moderated by local and international guests. All the workshops will be organised 2-3 times enabling all the participants to attend them. A final evaluation will close the conference. The conference consists of an opening forum followed by a series of workshops with reference to specific topics related to EDC. Workshops will be moderated by local and international guests. Participants in the conference are high school EDC and history teachers, trainers from NGOs active in EDC programs and actions. A group of ten teachers and experts from Kosovo and FYROM are invited to participate in the conference to provide their best practices on education for democratic citizenship. |
