This seminar was the third of the series of seminars dedicated to Euro-Med cooperation in the youth policy field. It explored how youth participation comes into the definition and formulation of youth policy. The results of the 2 previous seminars were taken into account.
Approximately 35 participants and experts were invited: youth, civil society, researchers, decision-makers, governmental institutions and parliamentarians. Majority of the participants were young people.
The seminar considered the following issues/questions:
• Why youth participation?
• Forms of youth participation
• Role of local governments
• Role of youth organisations
• Success stories
• Involvement of non-organised youth
• Research on youth participation.
Among the expected result there are also joint projects between youth organisations from both regions. |
