''Youth Employment and the Future of Work'', youth research seminar organised in the framework of the Partnership in the Youth Field between the Council of Europe and the European Commission |

The research seminar gathered youth researchers, youth work practitioners and policy makers working around the issues of youth employment and unemployment. The aims of the seminar were to explore the current trends in youth employment, reasons, consequences and strategies of dealing with unemployment as well as identifying the fields of research gaps and producing other conclusions and recommendations. Research findings, examples of good practice and youth policy approaches from all over Europe and beyond were presented during four thematic panels: 1. Education-to-Work Transitions and European Labour Mobility; 2. Youth Employment: Policy and Practice; 3. Gender, Family and Work; 4. Locality, Identity and Inclusion. Each session allowed for a discussion around the presented papers and topics raised. Conclusions and recommendations were collected during the closing session of the seminar.
The seminar will be followed by production of a concise report addressed to a wide public and an edited collection of the research articles presented during the seminar.
