A joint training course for co-operation and partnership in the youth field (50/50) in the Volga Federal District of Russia |
| Description: |
The aims of this particular course are:
- to strengthen the co-operation and partnership between non-governmental and governmental key actors in the development of youth policy in the Volga district;
- to contribute to the development of youth policy and youth work in the Volga district according to the principles of pluralist democracy and human rights;
- to enhance youth participation at local, national and regional level through facilitating the development and implementation of co-operative and innovative projects
The specific objectives are:
- to look at the current situation of young people (needs, realities, rights and responsibilities) and exchange on recent developments in youth policy practices in the Volga region;
- to create a space for open dialogue and for sharing experiences, as well as to promote mutual understanding and respect between the actors within the non-governmental and governmental sectors and to encourage co-operation and networking;
- to reflect on the concept of diversity, common identity and intercultural learning in the Volga district;
- to find tools to promote youth participation (key principles, values, relation to youth work and the reality of participants at different levels) as a base for youth policy development;
- to get acquainted with the Strategy for the State youth policy in the Russian Federation;
- to get updated on recent European youth policy developments and existing European youth structures;
- in this framework, to explore possibilities and challenges for co-operation and encourage networking in the Volga region;
- to help participants to find tools (information, fundraising opportunities etc.) to develop common projects and sustainable partnerships.
