Editorial meeting - T-Kit 12 on ''Conflict transformation''. |
| Description: |
The Partnership Agreement between the European Commission and the Council of Europe in the field of youth has developed a series of well-known “Training-Kits”. These thematic publications written by experienced youth trainers are easy-to-use handbooks for use in training activities and study sessions.
The Council of Europe and the European Commission have decided to launch the production of a new T-kit (issue 12), which will focus on “conflict transformation”, during the course of 2007.
The T-kit will be a tool to support youth workers and youth leaders in developing, planning, implementing and evaluating high quality projects and activities for, with and by young people in the field of conflict transformation.
This T-Kit will build on the results of a Forum/Consultative Meeting on conflict transformation, which took place in Strasbourg in the end of 2006, and other training courses organised by the Council of Europe.
The outcomes of these activities will provide a good basis of existing experiences and good practices in that field.
The meeting will gather the 5 authors of the T-Kit (selected after a call), as well as the editor and the Partnership secretariat.
The aims of this Editorial meeting are the following:
1- definition of the aims & objectives of the T-Kit;
2- Agreement on a detailed contents structure and division of tasks within the team;
3- Agreement on a timeline for writing the T-Kit. |
