Activity Synopsis |

| Objective(s): | Members of the National Television and Broadcasting Council of Ukraine visited the Austrian Regulatory Authority for Broadcasting and Telecommunications (RTR-GmbH), the Austrian Telekom-Control-Commission (TKK) and the Austrian Communications Authority (KommAustria) to learn about best practices in regulating broadcasting and applying broadcasting legislation. |
| Output/Results: | The participants learned from their Austrian colleagues procedures of adopting resolutions on broadcasting regulation and discussed with them the challenges of regulating digital broadcasting and implementing systems of licensing. Of particular interest to the Ukrainian visitors was the Austrian concept of a ‘television fund’, which they said they will take into account when developing the Electronic Media Plan of Ukraine. |
