Activity Synopsis

The objective of the meeting was to continue the revision of the European Convention on transfrontier television (ETS 132) in the light of the conclusions arrived at during the 42nd meeting of the Standing Committee on Transfrontier Television (T-TT, 8 and 9 October 2007) and the comments received by delegates of States Parties and observer states after the meeting. 

The drafting Group reached an agreement on a number of draft provisions and decided to prepare draft proposals and/or discussion papers on issues in need of further consideration.
The group decided on the working methods (distribution of tasks among its members, with the assistance of the Secretariat) and timetable (end of January 2008) for the preparation of the revised draft provisions of the Convention and the corresponding revision of the explanatory report. 

The fourth meeting of the drafting Group will be held on 27 and 28 March, the fifth meeting will take place on 19 and 20 June 2008. The Standing Committee (T-TT) will consider a consolidated draft of the revised Convention and its explanatory report prepared by the drafting Group during its 43rd meeting on 13 and 14 November 2008 

T-TT Delegates from Austria, Germany, France, Poland, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom and the observer delegate of the European Commission.
