| Objective(s): | The objective of the meeting was to continue the revision of the European Convention on Transfrontier Television so as to harmonise it, to the extent possible, with the EU draft Audiovisual media services Directive (amending the Televison without Frontiers Directive) while addressing additional issues of importance within the remit of the CoE. |
| Output/Results: | The Group considered the revised draft prepared by the Secretariat, further to the first meeting of the Group on 29 and 30 March 2007 and the different additional proposals made by the members of the Drafting Group. The Drafting Group furthermore discussed possible additional subjects to be covered by the Convention. The Secretariat was instructed to update the draft in line with the decisions taken by the Group and to put it on their restricted website (''shared office space'') in view of further comments and drafting proposals. The updated draft was posted on 29 June 2007 |
| Conclusions/Follow Up: | The draft text of the revised Convention as agreed by the Drafting Group will be examined by the Standing Committee on Transfrontier Television during their plenary meeting (8 and 9 October 2007) in view of further comments and proposals. |
