| Title: | Democracy Education and School Parliaments Project |
| Description: | Democracy Education and School Parliaments Project was put into application by a Protocol signed by Turkish Parliament and Ministry of Education. The main goal of this project is to make the students conscious about democracy. This project was applied in 300 primary and secondary schools 81 provinces in 2003-2004 Academic Year. Student Parliaments of schools elections and Student Parliament of provinces elections were made in 300 schools.
On 24 April 2004, 81 president of the Student Parliament of provinces met with the contribution of the president of the Turkish Parliament in the General Board Hall of Turkish Parliament with a special agenda. During this meeting they voted for the president student of Turkish Parliament. Turkish Student Parliaments are going to meet at the Turkish Parliament between 20-22 April 2005. |
