The requirements for Education for Citizenship award badge: Download the national soveraign posters and post them on your meeting place Download European union posters and post them on your meeting place Do the exhibitions on your schools Made a letter and told as what is European citizenship make a positive suggestion yo your local authorities like municipality or district or village headperson Make an activity about citizenship and sustainable development Learn about a National NGO who has positive contribution to local citizens and told us about their positive initiatives Make an activity about the different cultures traditions in another province ''Express your work with posters reposts power point presentations, small exhibitions on your meeting place, given as news to a newspaper or TV station'' |

| Title: | Training of Trainers for Social Science Teachers on “Education for Democratic Citizenship” |
| Description: | In cooperation with the National Committee and the Ministry of Education, British Council plans to hold a training of trainers seminar on democratic citizenship education for around 20 social science teachers and 10 trainers who will take part in the in-service training of the Ministry of Education.
The teachers can be selected either from Ankara or from various cities around Turkey, to be agreed at a later stage. The training will be delivered with the support of two British experts as well as local experts where necessary. The training will mainly be covering format of training, rather than content (i.e. how to deliver citizenship classes in an interesting and appealing way, how to manage large classes, what sort of materials to use and how to use them, etc.) |

| Title: | Democracy Education and School Parliaments Project |
| Description: | Democracy Education and School Parliaments Project was put into application by a Protocol signed by Turkish Parliament and Ministry of Education. The main goal of this project is to make the students conscious about democracy. This project was applied in 300 primary and secondary schools 81 provinces in 2003-2004 Academic Year. Student Parliaments of schools elections and Student Parliament of provinces elections were made in 300 schools.
On 24 April 2004, 81 president of the Student Parliament of provinces met with the contribution of the president of the Turkish Parliament in the General Board Hall of Turkish Parliament with a special agenda. During this meeting they voted for the president student of Turkish Parliament. Turkish Student Parliaments are going to meet at the Turkish Parliament between 20-22 April 2005. |
