Title: | Youth Ambassadors for Peace - Training Seminar B1 |
Description: | The Youth Peace Ambassadors project promotes and supports the role of young people in peace-building activities that contribute to living together in dignity and dialogue through a network of specifically trained young people who strengthen the presence and promote the values of the Council of Europe in conflict-affected areas and communities. Seventy-five active young people from across Europe are involved in the project, split in 3 groups that follow a similar training programme.
The project consists of a long term training course that involves residential training seminars, e-learning and development and implementation of peace activities in the community. Network building between the 75 young participants involved in the project is also an essential aspect. The training seminar held in Budapest between 19 and 26 of June was the first seminar for the second group that is involved in the project and it focused on Human Rights and Human Rights Protection. The seminar also served the purpose of getting participants familiar with the Council of Europe and to build-up the group that will work together in the next 2 years. |
