| Title: | Colloquy on the Council of Europe strategy on youth information policy. |
| Description: | The overall aim of the colloquy is to develop a Council of Europe strategy on youth information policy which could be integrated into the political and strategic document, the so called Agenda 2020, on the Council of Europe’s youth policy essentials.
The specific objectives are: - to examine the link between youth information work and the development of youth policy at the local, national and European levels; - to define the role and policy of the Council of Europe regarding youth information; - to determine the ways and strategic tools for managing this area of work. Participants (30) will be selected from all sectors concerned in the field of youth information and counselling. ERYICA, EURODESK, and EYCA will be invited to send one representative each. The co-management structure of the Directorate of Youth and Sport will be represented by 3 members each of the European Steering Committee for Youth and of the Advisory Council on Youth, including their chairs and/or vice-chairs and members of the committee set up to draft the strategy paper. Twelve youth information workers from different levels will be selected by ERYICA. Seven YNGOs will be nominated by the Advisory Council, including the European Youth Forum and a representative of the Liaison Committee of the Conference of INGOs enjoying participatory status with the Council of Europe. In addition, one researcher from the European Knowledge Centre will be invited to attend and one representative of the European Commission. |
